MINUTES
COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL JOINT SESSION WITH EMPIRE TOWNSHIP
NOVEMBER 7, 1995
1. Mayor Kuchera opened the meeting at 8:00 P.M..
Members Present: Kuchera, Ristow, Fitch, Galler, Gamer.
Members Absent: None.
2. Discussion centered on boundaries. Some non physical issues were
also discussed.
3. The Joint Board of Planning will meet on the fourth Monday of the
month. Costs will be shared 50/50. Joint powers statutes will have
to be looked into in regard to the Planning Board.
4. Point #11 was modified.
5. The Council and Township Board decided to have the respective
attorneys draw up resolutions, with any modifications and explanations,
of no more than one page in length, to be submitted to the Council
and Township Board by Frida~, November 10, 1995.
6. It was the unanimous decision by both the Council and Township Board
that the Points of Understanding would be the basis for the resolution
being drawn up by the attorneys.
7. Another joint meeting, with legal counsel present, to finalize
the resolution for November 14, 1995 at 7:00 P.M. at the Empire Town
Hall.
