MINUTES
SPECIAL JOINT MEETING
CITY COUNCIL/EMPIRE TOWNSHIP
NOVEMBER 14, 1995
Members Present:
Members Absent:
Kuchera, Ristow, Galler, Gamer, Fitch.
None.
A lengthy discussion took place regarding Point #8 of the Points
of Understanding Resolution. There was some thought that this did
not clarify the intentions of landowners, annexation procedures, or
future development. Urbanization, development and the procedures
that would be followed were also discussed. It was the consensus
of those present that these issues would be decided by comprehensive
planning and the Joint Planning Board.
The Empire Town Board then took a vote and unanimously approved the
joint resolution agreeing to follow certain principles and points
of understanding.
MOTION by Ristow, second by Garner to adopt RESOLUTION NO. R130-95
adopting a joint resolution between the City of Farmington and Empire
Township agreeing to follow certain principles and points of under-
standing in order to end differences on R~np.xRtion Rnd community
growth interest. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
