MINUTES
COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL
JULY 6, 1993
1. Mayor Kuchera called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M..
Members Present: Kuchera, Ristow, Rotty, Galler.
Members Absent: Orr.
Also Present: Administrator Thompson.
2. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the C~ty's Goals and Objectives.
Administrator Thompson reviewed the previous discussions of the Council regarding
this matter. The following comments were made:

a. Clarification that downtown should be extended along Spruce Street to the
future extension of CSAH #31.
b.
\
Become more specific with land use - need to address ,land use.
c. Need to manage growth - set goals.
d. Plan for employee services.
3. Counci1member Orr arrived at 6:15 P.M..
4. Administrator Thompson stated that the Council should determine a process for
developing the plan. Counci1member Galler indicated that the first draft of
the plan should be staff drive. Counci1member Orr agreed, but stated the ultimate
plan (land use and public facilities) should have more Council involvement. It
was the consensus of the Council that staff provide the first draft of the plan.
5. MOTION by Galler, second by Kuchera to adjourn at 6:58 P.M.. APIF, MOTION
CARRIED.
