MINUTES
COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL - CANVASSING
NOVEMBER 9, 1988
1. Mayor Kelly called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Members Present: Kelly, Mayer, Sprute, Donaldson.
Members Absent: Galler.
Also Present: Administrator Thompson.
2. The purpose of the meeting was to meet as the Canvassing Board to accept
the results of the City General Election.
3. Administrator Thompson read a letter from Nathaniel Donaldson requesting a
recount of the Mayoral race. Administrator Thompson gave a summary of the
procedure for recounting elections. Questions were raised regarding the election
expenses and amount of surety. Administrator Thompson stated that the purpose of
this meeting was to accept the election results on "face value." The matter of the
recount surety could be addressed at a future meeting.
4. KJfIm by Sp rute , second by Donaldson to adopt RESOLUTION NO. R82-88 accepting
the results of the City Election on November 9, 1988. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
5. MOTION by Donaldson, second by Kelly to adjourn at 7:30 P.M.
CARRIED.
