COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL
JANUARY 25, 1982
1. The Mayor called the meeting to order
Present: Mayor Stegmaier, Councilmembers
Absent: None
Also Present:
at 7:00 P.M.
Cook, Kelly, Kuchera, Orr
Administrator Ford, HRA Attorney Darflinger
2. The purpose of this special meeting was to conduct a public
hearing in the matter of a proposed tax increment industrial development
3/4 of a mile west of #31 on Hwy. #50. The Council took note of the affidavit of
publication of notice of public hearing, and a lengthy and thorough discussion
of the proposed project followed. A complete package of information had
been distributed to the Council approximately 10 days prior to this public
hearing. It was pointed out that the purpose of the hearing was to
allow the Council to consider the approval of the amendment of the Farmington
Housing & Redevelopment Authority Development Plan and to approve of the
tax increment project which was being proposed relative to the amendment
of this Plan. Several members of the audience asked questions and
presented comments, after which the public portion of the meeting was
closed and the discussion brought back to the Council table. Motion
by Orr, second by Kelly to adopt Resolution No. R4-82, Action of the
City Council of Farmington, Minnesota, Approving Amendment to the
Downtown Redevelopment Plan and the Tax Increment Financing District
Associated Therewith. APIF, motion carried.
3. Motion made and seconded to adjourn at 8:00 P.M.
