SPECIAL
TAX BOARD OF REVIEW
MAY 27, 1980
(ANNUAL TAX BOARD OF REVIEW)
1. Present: Mayor Akin, Councilmen Cook, Kuchera, Orr, Whittier.
Also Present: William J. Ford
2. The purpose of this meeting, which had been previously advertised by official
notice in the newspaper and posting on the bulletin board, was the Annual Meeting
of the City Councll, sitting as a local Tax Board of Review. Present and rep-
resenting the Dakota County Office of Assessor were: Jake OIToole, Don Smith,
Tom Krier, Greg Swanson. Citizens appearing with a question or a complaint were
as follows: John Tangeman - 14-32001-060-01, Denis & Susan Hohn - l4-23570-050-00,
Earl Anderson - 14-77000-060-27, Charles Zweber - 14-67600-050-02, John McBrien -
14-25800-060-00 and 14-25800-070-00.
3. At 8:10 P.M. approximately 15 minutes had elapsed from the time that the last
citizen had been accommodated and no other tax payers appeared. At 8:10 P.M.
there was a motion by Kuchera, second by Cook that this portion of the Council
meeting be adjourned. APIF, motion carried.
4. There followed a general discussion among the members of the Council during
which Councilman Orr brought those present up to date on the status of the re-
modeling of City Hall. In that regard, Mr. Orr suggested that the Council approve
a general open to the public open house for tentatively June 12, 1980, from 6:30
to 9:00 P.M. The idea was also approved by the Council that the open house be
utilized for the public to also register complaints, ask questions and to meet
department heads within the City Government and that the City Administrator
arrange for Department Heads to be present. Motion by Kuchera, second by Cook.
APIF, motion carried.
5. Motion by Kuchera, second by Cook that the meeting be adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
APIF, motion carried.
