MINUTES
COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL
SEPTEMBER 8, 1980
1. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Akin at 7:00 P.M.
Present: Mayor Akin, Councilmen Cook, Kuchera, Orr and Whittier
Absent: None
Also Present: Administrator Ford, Deputy Treasurer Henneke
2. The purpose of the meeting was to review the 1981 Proposed Budget.
The Council proceeded through the various departments and completed the
preliminary decisions regarding capital outlay in all departments except
fire. The Council also made the decision to remain in the refuse collection
business, to purchase a new garbage packer, and to establish the rates on a
non-subsidized basis.
3. The Council also decided that the sewer rates be established on a non-
subsidized basis.
4. Motion by Akin, second by Whittier to adopt Ordinance No. 080-95, salary
for Mayor be set at $260/month and the salaries for the Counci Imen be set
at $205/month, effective January 1, 1981 and after publicat1on~ of this Ordin-
ance. APIF, motion carried.
5. Motion made and seconded to adjourn at 10:30 P.M.
