The coffee event was held at the Rambling River Center this morning. There were nine
(9) veterans and three (3) family members. Janke handed out “Pledge of Allegiance”
bookmarks. While participation is still small, board members hope it will continue to
grow. Garlets felt like those who came appreciated it and that makes it successful.
Janke also has 20 bags to deliver to the veterans at Trinity Care Center. Included in the
bags is apple cider, a Hershey bar, and a “Thank You Veteran” card.
Board members would like to do something for the 250th anniversary of America’s
freedom and include veterans. Board members are looking for suggestions.

The RRC van will be participating in the parade. The same evening, a community
window-decorating contest will take place. The board agreed the Rambling River
Center will join the contest and staff will request volunteers to help decorate the
windows. Decorating will take place on December 1 at 9:30 am. Decoration ideas
included trees, cardinals, deer, snowmen, and lights. Hennen will share event
information on Facebook.
