City Council Work Session Minutes- Closed Meeting
Monday, May 18, 2026
The City Council met in a work session on Monday, May18, 2026, at Farmington
City Hall, 430 Third Street, Farmington, Minnesota.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Lien called the meeting to order at 6:07 pm.
2. ROLL CALL
Members Present: Mayor Nick Lien
Councilmembers Holly Bernatz, Jake Cordes,
and Steve Wilson
Members Absent: Councilmember Windschitl
Staff Present: Lynn Gorski, City Administrator
Amy Schmidt, City Attorney
Deanna Kuennen, Economic & Community
Development Director
Kim Sommerland, Finance Director
Kellee Omlid, Parks & Recreation Director
Nate Siem, Police Chief
Melissa Geis, City Clerk
3. APPROVE AGENDA
Motion was made by Councilmember Cordes and seconded by
Councilmember Bernatz to approve the agenda, as presented.
Motion carried: 4 ayes / 0 nays
4. DISCUSSION ITEMS
4.1 Closed Session to Consider Whether to Develop or Consider Offers or
Counteroffers for the Sale or Purchase of the Real Property in the City
of Farmington, Dakota County, Minnesota (PID: 14-56801-01-010),
Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 13D.05, Subdivision 3(c)(3).
Motion was made by Councilmember Cordes and seconded by
Councilmember Bernatz to close the City Council Work Session,
