City Council Work Session Minutes
Monday, June 1, 2026
The City Council met in a work session on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Farmington
City Hall, 430 Third Street, Farmington, Minnesota.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Lien called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.
Members Present: Mayor Nick Lien
Councilmembers Holly Bernatz, Steve Wilson
and Phil Windschitl
Members Absent: Councilmember Cordes
Staff Present: Lynn Gorski, City Administrator
Kim Sommerland, Finance Director
Kellee Omlid, Parks & Recreation Director
John Powell, Public Works Director/City Engineer
Melissa Geis, City Clerk
2. APPROVE AGENDA
Motion was made by Councilmember Bernatz and seconded by
Councilmember Wilson to approve the agenda, as presented.
Motion carried: 4 ayes / 0 nays
3. DISCUSSION ITEMS
3.1 CSAH 31 and CSAH 74 Corridor Study and Preliminary Engineering
Update
Public Works Director Powell provided an update for the City Council
on the CSAH 31 and CSAH 74 Corridor Study and Preliminary
Engineering. He presented preliminary design, estimating 2028
Construction. Separate meetings with ISD 192 have been held with
their representatives.
Discussion ensued.
