We have had difficulty programming our sprinkler system as the previous owners did not leave any owner's manuals or information regarding the system. We have been online trying to find out infwmation and thought that we had it programmed correctly. Unfortunately, that morning it came on. We have since turned off the system until we can determine the best course of action (either hiring a company or finding the proper information online.) We appreciate your consideration in waving this citation as we are good law abiding citizens and respect and understand the need to conserve water. (We just moved from Illinois where it is incredibly critical.) Thank you for your time and consideration. I was on vacation during the end of July and beginning of August. I forgot to reprogram the sprinkler system controller. Since the issue of the citation, I have corrected the problem. To put it simply for you, all it was is that I turned on my sprinler at 11 am, went to the store, and returned at 12:20 pm. A whopping 20 minutes after 12. at that time, I turned off the sprinkler. Its bad enough living in a town with inept law enforcement, but for a town to actually pay people for the sole reason of driving around town in order to catch people with their sprinklers on is just incredible. I absolutely refuse to pay $25 for having my sprinkler on for 20 minutes too long. So I am asking that this matter be resolved peacefully. Thank you, .
