To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing in regards to an Administrative Citation we received on 6/2/07 stating that
on May 31 st, 2007 we disobeyed the water restriction by running our sprinkler on the
wrong day and inappropriate time of day. I am requesting that this fee be excused for the
reason that we had just had our sod laid and it was starting to burn. We were told by our.
landscaper to run the sprinklers as often as possible until the grass was set. I voiced my
concerns about the restrictions and he assured me that the city is understanding about new
sod.
.
I deeply apologize for disobeying the ordinance, and will make sure going forward that
we completely abide the rules.
As of today, the grass looks great and will not need any extra watering.
Again, I apologize for our mistake. Please call me at 651-463-0068 if you have any other
questions or concerns regarding my request.

Farmington Water Board
To Whom it may concern,
I would like to request an administrative heard biefore the Farmington Water Board for
the citation I received on June 5th, 2007, specifically water between 12:00 noon and
6:00 p.m.
I water my lawn semi regularly when needed. I adhere to the 12:00-6:00 ban and
more specifically the assigned days (odd-even). I believe these guidelines and
policies are sound and more than reasonable. However, I find it disappointing and
even concerning that a city official would issue a citation for eight minutes (5:52 p.m.)
before the assigned watering time. It would be understandable if I was a chronic
violator and had a history of multiple citations each year... or if I was trying to water on
the wrong day or clearly trying to water before 6:00 p.m. None of these scenarios are
accurate.
