Water Board Regular Meeting Minutes April 23, 2007 Page] of2 MINUTES REGULAR WATER BOARD MEETING Monday, April 23, 2007 7:00 PM Farmington City Hall, Conference Room A Members Present: Staff Present: Tom Jensen, Allan Maguire, Jeff Krueger Lee Mann, Director of Public Works/City Engineer; Lena Larson, Public Works Administrative Assistant Members Tom Jensen Jeff Krueger Allan Maguire Ci/V Staff Reo. . Lee M. Mann, P.E. Director of Public Works/City Engineer . 1) Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm. 2) The agenda was approved. A motion was made by Jensen and seconded by Krueger to approve the minutes of March 26. APIF, Motion passed. 3) Continued Business a) Water Reservoir Update: City Engineer Mann gave an update on the water reservoir. There was some discussion of the possibility of increasing the size of the reservoir from 5.5 to 6 mg. At this point Newland has not submitted a price for the land. 4) New Business- a) Approve Mower & Trailer Purchase - Member Krueger made a motion to approve the purchase of a mower in the amount of$7,599 and a trailer in the amount of $1,800, plus an additional $1,500 for incidentals at the discretion of the Public Works Director. Second by Maguire. APIF, motion passed. b) Review 2007 Water Conservation Education Plan - The plan was presented and reviewed by the Board. It was determined that the odd/even watering notices could be staggered every other week in the Farminf!ton Independent and the Farmington Thisweek. The Board requested information regarding the amount of penalties collected for water use citations issued versus the dollars spent on education and promotion be shared at the next meeting. c) 2006 Consumer Confidence Report - The report was presented to the Board. 5) Approve Bills -Motion by Krueger, second by Maguire to approve bills in the amount of $23, 027. 71. APIF, motion passed. 6) OpenForum- a) There was some discussion about a comment made by Council regarding how hydrants are flushed in Park Rapids. City Engineer Mann will research and respond in a memo, copying the Water Board. 7) Motion by Krueger, second by Maguire to adjourn at 7:40pm. APIF, motion passed.
