MINUTES
WATER BOARD REGULAR MEETING
October 22, 2001
7:00 PM
1.
Chairman Shirley called the meeting to order.
Members Present: Jensen, Krueger, Shirley
Staff Present: City Engineer Mann
Others Present: Eileen Boyer, Julie Endersbe
2. Agenda was approved as presented.
3. A motion was made by Shirley and seconded by Krueger to approve the minutes of the September
24th meeting. APIF, Motion carried.
4. Water Use Citation Appeals
a) Eileen Boyer and Julie Endersbe appeared before the Board to appeal citations. No action taken,
citations stand as issued.

b) City Engineer Mann handed out the draft on water use restrictions to be mailed out in 2002.
Various suggestions were made and brochure will be brought back for approval.
5. Continued Discussion Items
a) Well #6 & #7 Pumphouse Design - City Engineer Mann presented two designs. A motion was
made by Krueger and seconded by Jensen to accept design "B". APIF, motion carried. Engineer
Mann to discuss with the designer that the windows in the building will meet security concerns.
b) Engineer Mann discussed the blacktop access road to Well #5. No action required.
6. New Business - none
7. A motion was made by Krueger, and seconded by Jensen to approve all bills presented. APIF,
motion carried.
8. Financial Report was reviewed and accepted. Members had questions about miscellaneous items in
expenditures and about showing the total amount of funds the water division has invested. Engineer
Mann will bring this to the attention of the Finance Director.
9. Open Forum
a) Rate study in the planning stage.
b) Possibility of capping Well #2.
. c) Interior inspection of Nelsen Hills Tank to be made when it is drained this fall.

d) Security concerns at well houses. A motion was made by Krueger and seconded by Shirley to
authorize the City Engineer to review and to recommend, if needed, additional security at the City's
well houses. APIF, motion carried.
e) Unitz gain antenna seems to be working. No interference reported. Further time is needed.
10. Meeting adjourned. Next meeting to be held Monday, November 26,2001.
