MINUTES
WATER BOARD REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 28,2000
7:00 PM
1. The meeting was called to order by acting-Chairman Krueger
Members Present: Krueger, Jensen Members Absent: Shirley
Staff Present: City Engineer Mann
Also Present: City Administrator John Erar
2. Agenda approved as presented
3. Approval of the minutes was tabled until the meeting on December 26th, 2000.
4. Continued Discussion items:
a) Well #3 Redevelopment. Contractor has run into some difficulty. They have been drilling
more chunks of sandstone than what was initially anticipated. City Engineer Mann will keep the
board informed regarding the progress of the well redevelopment.
5. New Discussion Items:
a) City Facilities Project. City Administrator Erar updated the board on the site plan and the
project budget.
1. City Administrator Erar asked the Water Board to fund an additional $113,929 up front
that would be used for the "S" road that winds thru the campus.
2. In return for the additional capital, City Administrator Erar has promised that the City
will pick up the sewer costs for the future Water Treatment Plant. This arrangement will
be documented in writing.
3. A consensus was given to City Administrator Erar in favor of the Water Board funding
the additional capital. The actual vote will take place next month.
b) Fund Cash Flow Analysis - 2000 Update.
1. City Engineer Mann presented an updated fund cash analysis spreadsheet showing that
an increase in the water rate was not warranted.
2. Combining the funds for easier readability was discussed. A vote will take place next
month.
6. Bills
a) Approved bills in the amount of $1 7,439.40. Motion by Krueger; Second by Jensen.
7. Financial Report
a) Report was presented ahd accepted.
8. OpenForum-
a) Aquifer testing to commence in December 2000 in an undetermined well.
b) Jensen proposed installing a fence around Well No.4 to help keep it clean and secure.
1. Directed City Engineer Mann to price fences for that project.

c) Daisy Knoll Tower
1. Rust spotted on tower. City Engineer Mann will investigate for possible causes.
2. City Engineer Mann was also directed to determine if original plans for the tower are
in existence for reference.
9. Meeting adjourned at approximately 9:00 PM. Next meeting to be held Wednesday, December
27th, 2000.
