MINUTES
WATER BOARD REGULAR MEETING
September 26, 2000 @ 7:00 PM
1. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley.
Members Present: Shirley, Crawford, Krueger
Staff Present: City Engineer Mann
Also Present: Richard Rich
Members Absent: none
2. Agenda approved as presented.
3. A motion was made by Shirley and seconded by Crawford to approve the minutes of the August meeting.
Shirley - yes, Crawford - yes, Krueger - abstain. Motion carried.
4. Water Use Restrictions - Citation Appeals
a) Richard Rich, 19660 Excel Court - requested relief. He was using a sprinkler to water two trees. The Board
reaffirmed it's position that a sprinkler or an unattended hose is a violation of policy. Hand watering is an
exception. Mr. Rich was informed that the citation applies.
b) Board reviewed letters written y residents receiving citations. No action taken.
5. Continued discussion items:
a) Well #3. Equipment is being moved into place so work will begin. It is estimated the project will take two
months, banning unforeseen problems.
b) 2000 Trunk Watermain Project. All easements have been obtained.
New discussion items:
. Resignation - Commissioner Matt Crawford informed the Board that he would be resigning effective
after the October Water Board meeting. He is moving to Byron, Minnesota and will therefore be
ineligible to serve. The Board thanked him for serving and wished him the best of luck.
7. Motion by Krueger, second by Crawford to approve current bills in the amount of $18,408.03. APIF, motion
carried.
8. The financial report as of August 31, 2000 was reviewed and accepted. Commissioner Krueger requested that
the funds the Board has invested (water availability, etc.) be shown on financial reports.
9. Open Forum -
a) Discussed the new elementary school site on 190th and what watermains are in the area. New watermain in
the Highway 3 and 209th Street area will be flushed after the fall regular flushing.
10. Meeting adjourned at approximately 8:30 PM. Next meeting to be held Tuesday, October 24, 2000.
