HomeMy WebLinkAbout8/28/00 MINUTES WATER BOARD REGULAR MEETING August 28, 2000@ 7:00 PM . 1. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley. Members Present: Shirley, Crawford Staff Present: City Engineer Mann Also Present: Nisha Topiwala Members Absent: Krueger 2. Agenda item added under new business a) Request to change dates of September and October meetings. 3. A motion was made by Shirley and seconded by Crawford to approve the minutes of July meeting. APIF, motion carried. 4. Water Use Restrictions - Citation Appeals a) Nisha Topiwala - 5105 Upper 183rd St. W. requested relief of the first violation citation. She purchased an existing home and moved in July 29th, 2000. She has not yet received a utility bill from Farmington, did not receive the City's New Resident Guide nor the notice posted from the Farmington Building Inspection Division or any of the Farmington Update mailings. Motion by Shirley, second by Crawford to have the first violation citation left in file and waive the $25 fine. If another water usage citation is issued to her it will be the second offense and the $50 fine applies. 5. Continued discussion items: a) Status report for Well #5. Work considered complete. . b) Status report for Well #3. Engineer Mann received quotes on the redevelopment of Well #3. . Keys Well Drilling $43,250.00 . Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. $46,060.00 . E.H. Remer & Sons $46,500.00 Motion by Crawford, second by Shirley to award contract to Keys Well Drilling in amount of $43,250.00. APIF, motion carried. c) 2000 Trunk Watermain Project. Necessary work is proceeding to acquire easements. 6. New discussion items: . Water Board Meeting Dates - The Water Board will meet Tuesday, September 26th and Tuesday, October 24th due to scheduling conflicts. 7. A motion was made by Shirley, seconded by Crawford to approve current bills in the amount of $24,894.49. APIF, motion carried. 8. The financial report as of July 31, 2000 was reviewed and accepted. 9. Open Forum - a) No items for discussion 10. Meeting adjourned at approximately 8:30 PM.
