WATER BOARD
REGULAR
DECEMBER 27, 1994
1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Shirley.
Members Present: Shirley, Chell, Wier.
Members Absent: None.
Also Present: Public Works Director/City Engineer Kaldunski
2. The agenda was approved with the following changes:
a. Table Developer request to adjust water main credit for TroyHills.
3. MOTION by Shirley, second by Chell to approve the minutes of the
November 28, 1994 regular meeting. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
4. The budget for 1995 was discussed at some length. No action was
taken until the Board has had the opportunity to discuss the budget
with the Finance Director.
5. The 1995 fees for the City of Farmington and the Water Board were
discussed. The fees showed a 3% increase over 1994. MOTION by Wier,
second by Chell to adopt the fees as presented. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
6. The five year capital improvement plan was discussed at length.
Mr. Kaldunski presented some proposed additions and changes. No action
was taken at this time.
7. The water main trunk credit for East Farmington development was
discussed but no action was taken or needed at this time.
8. The proposed Vermillion River Housing project was discussed.
No action was needed and no plans were presented.
9. The request by the School District to use a hydrant to water
ballfields was discussed. MOTION by Shirley, second by Chell to
approve the request for 1995 as long as only City workers operate
the hydrant. APIF, MOTION CARRIED. It was indicated that no more
requests will be honored for this program.
10. The requests by the owners of 417 8th Street, 501 8th Street and
334-340 3rd Street to extend the deadline for water meter installation
were approved. All other requests for extensions were denied. MOTION
by Wier, second by Shirley to extend the above listed meter installation
deadlines. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
11. MOTION by Shirley, second by Wier to approve bills in the amount
of $9,619.73. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
12. The damage to the fence at Well #4 was discussed. An insurance
claim to pay for the damages is to be filed and the repairs to be
completed.
13. Since there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
