WATER BOARD MEETING
SPECIAL
OCTOBER 10, 1995
1. The special meeting was called to consider making water available
to certain residents now living in Empire Township who had applied for
annexation to the City. The parcels in question were affected by the
dewatering process used for the installation of the City of Farmington's
Southeast Area Sanitary Sewer Trunk project.
2. MOTION by Wier, second by Shirley to adopt the following:
a. persons requesting the extension of water service must submit
an annexation petition;
b. fees for extension of service are to be paid to the Water Board;
c. the City Finance Director must provide a statement showing that
fees are paid to the Water Board;
d. residents are responsible for all fees to connect to service;
e. a one inch (I") service will be provided from the existing main
to the property line;
f. if annexation does not occur prior to the January billing date,
water service will be disconnected.
APIF, MOTION CARRIED. It was noted that this variance to the Water
Board's standard policy was being made due to the urgency of providing
water to the affected properties prior to freezing conditions.
3. The Water Board agreed to adjourn at 9:10 P.M..
