WATER BOARD
REGULAR
JUNE 24, 1996
1. The meeting was called to order by Member Chell.
Members Present: Chell, Wier.
Members Absent: Shirley.
Also Present: Administrator Erar, Engineer Kaldunski, Finance
Director Henneke, Attorney Grannis.
2. The agenda was approved with the following changes:
a. Add discussion of Pine Ridge Forest.
b. Remove item #6 - Review of request from Tim Giles of
Deer Meadow development.
3. MOTION by Wier, second by Chell to approve the minutes of May 28,
1996. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
4. An extensive discussion regarding acquisition of a water tower
site/Central Maintenance Facility site took place. MOTION by Chell,
second by Wier to direct staff to take action to acquire up to 20
acres and to authorize a survey of property owned by Lawrence Wenzel,
all details to be worked out between the owner and Water Board. City
Attorney Grannis was directed to begin making contact with the site
owner. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
5. MOTION by Wier, second by Chell to authorize up to $2,200 to
hire Atlast Roofing to reroof Well House No.4. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
6. The financial report was received and reviewed.
7. The plat for Pine Ridge Forest Addition was reviewed. The following
were determined to be needed before the Water Board could take any
action to approve:
a. All properties in the site are to be at or below the minimum
altitude as determined by policy.
b. A trunk water main from Nelsen Hills Farm through the development
will be installed at developer's cost.
c. A loop from the reservoir through the development will be installed
at developer's cost.
d. Connections with existing mains at Everton Avenue, Exodus Avenue,
and Upper 183rd Street must be made.
The members did not take any action at this time.
8. MOTION by Chell, second by Wier to pay the bills in the amount
presented. APIF, MOTION CARRIED. Pre paid bills were noted.
9. There being no further business, the members agreed to adjourn.
