Mann, P.E., Director of Public Works/City Engineer SUBJECT: U. S. West Communications Site Lease Agreement DATE: May 24, 1999 INTRODUCTIONIDISCUSSION Attached is the final draft of the U. S. West Communications Site Lease Agreement for the Water Board's review and approval. BUDGET IMPACT The lease agreement stipulates the rental amount of $7,500 for the first year with a 5% annual increase. ACTION REQUESTED Approve U.S. West Antenna Lease Agreement contingent on the City Engineer's approval of the construction plans and specifications for the antenna installation. Mann, P.E., Director of Public Works/City Engineer SUBJECT: Watering Ban DATE: May 24, 1999 INTRODUCTIONIDISCUSSION Attached is draft language for a watering ban ordinance forwarded from the City Attorney. Staff recommends that the City Council be informed of the Water Board's interest in a watering ban before a draft ordinance is forwarded to Council. BUDGET IMP ACT . None at this time. . AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 8, CHAPTER 3 OF THE FARMINGTON CITY CODE CONCERNING WATER USE RESTRICTIONS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FARMINGTON ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 8-3-21 of the Farmington City Code is amended in its entirety to read as follows; 8-3-21: WATER USE RESTRICTIONS: (A) Odd-Even Restriction. Use of the city water supply system for lawn and garden sprinkling, irrigation, car washing or other non potable uses sball be limited to an odd-even schedule corresponding to property address effective each year from May 1 to September 30. This odd-even water use restriction shall not apply to the watering of new seed or sod for a period of three weeks from the date of seeding or sodding. (B) Emergency Restrictions. Whenever the city council determines it in the public interest, the city council may, by resolution, further limit the use. times and homs during which water may be used from the city water supply system. by giving notice by publication or by posting in the City Hall and at such public places as the Council may direct. SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and publication.
