I am writing this letter on behalf of the Glenview Townhomes Association wishing to contest the citation that was assessed to the association. The citation was issued on July 20,2004, to the association on Willow Trail for $25.00 for watering between the hours of noon & 6:00 P.M (I have included a copy of the citation). The association recently installed the sprinkler system, and CLW Landscaping (the company that installed it), was inspecting the heads making sure it was working, and adjusting heads so they were not watering the street or house. I have spoken to the owner of CL W Landscaping and they would be willing to put it in writing that they were on the property that day checking the system. We moved from Apple Valley where there aren't watering restrictions. Being new to the community and busy trying to get settled, we inadvertently let the water run a little longer than 12:00. We were watering on the correct day, but just let the water run over a little. We received a ticket on July 27 at 12:20. We feel that since we are new residents, and that we weren't blatantly ignoring the water restriction policy, that we should be given a warning this time.
