Lena - Thank you for contacting me regarding the water citation I discussed with Robyn. I would appreciate it being added to the agenda for Monday's board meeting. I believe the incident in question occurred in July. My contention is that we never received a citation but did receive a visit from a gentleman at our door. I had a discussion with him and explained that my children were running through the sprinkler and had gone to ask a neighbor to play with them. The gentleman and I discussed that it was acceptable to have the sprinkler running for the purposes of play, however I certainly felt "warned" by him. He did not give me a piece of paper or put anything in my mail box. I was not mailed a citation by the City of Farmington. The utility bill I received in September did not reflect a citation charge. To my surprise, the December bill did reflect a charge of $25. I called Robyn immediately to convey that this was not accurate and we were never issued a citation. My family is quite cognizant of the watering restrictions put in place by the City of Farmington. We are in agreement with the conservation efforts and believe we must abide by the rules. It is concerning that an arbitrary charge can appear approximately 5 months after an incident occurs. The charge was neither warranted nor delivered prior to the December utility bill. Thank you for your consideration. . Kelli Smith 18705 Enhance Court Farmington 651-460-6523 12/18/2003
