Members Present: Jensen, Shirley Member Absent: Krueger Staff Present: City Engineer Mann Visitor Present: Mark Rolfs, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Assoc. Agenda was approved as presented. 2. 3. Approval of the minutes of the March 25th meeting were tabled as Krueger was absent and Shirley was not in attendance at the March meeting. 4. Continued Discussion Items a) Service Road to Well #5: Engineer Mann presented a preliminary road design at the new municipal complex. The Board is in favor of the plan. b) Daisy Knoll Tower Analysis: A discussion took place with Engineer Mann and Mark Rolfs regarding the repainting and repair of the tank. A rough cost estimate of the removal and repainting would be $400,000 to $500,000 because of the lead content of the existing paint. A general discussion about the future construction of tanks and reservoirs ensued. No action was necessary. c) Well Construction Update: Progress is on time and barring any unforseen problems will meet the construction deadline. 5. New Business a) Award Contract: Pump houses 6 & 7: Motion by Jensen and second by Shirley to award the project to the low bidder, Encomm Midwest, LLC in the amount of $576,638. Voting for, Jensen and Shirley. Not present, Krueger. Motion passed. 6. Approve Bills - Motion by Krueger, second by Jensen to approve bills in the amount of $48,259.71. Voting for, Jensen and Shirley. Not present, Krueger. Motion passed. 7. The financial report was accepted as presented. 8. Open Forum a) Updated Policy manuals were handed out. b) Security lighting installation is complete. 9. c) An email concern about changing odd/even watering restrictions (due to even addresses not having as many days to water in months with 31 days) was discussed and declined.
