MINUTES
WATER BOARD REGULAR MEETING
Monday, July 22, 2002
6:00 PM
1.
Member Shirley called the meeting to order.
Members Present: Jensen, Krueger, Shirley
Member Absent: none
Staff Present: City Engineer Mann, Finance Director Roland
2. Agenda was approved as presented.
3. Motion by Shirley to approve the minutes of the June 24th regular meeting. Seconded by Jensen.
APIF, motion carried.
4. Water Use Restrictions - Citation Appeals
a) none
5. Continued Discussion Items
a) Wells 6 & 7 Update. Well #6 drilling and test pumping is complete. Well #7 will finish
bailing on July 23rd and will be test pumped for capacity.
b) Motion by Shirley to authorize the blacktopping and completion of the Well House #5 access
road and fueling station, the amount not to exceed $92,740.99. Seconded by Krueger. APIF,
motion carried.
c) Engineer Mann presented the Board with an update letter from Mark J anovec of Bonestroo,
Rosene, Anderlik and Assoc. on the status of Farmington's Wellhead Protection Plan. The plan
is on schedule. No action necessary.
d) A list of known wells in the City of Farmington was presented. No action necessary.
e) Sherbourne Deckhomes - Watering Plan: Sherbourne presented Engineering staff with a
watering plan for the townhouses based on a schedule of Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
running from 4:00 AM to 11 :00 AM. Engineering staff agrees with the plan. Any changes to
the schedule will be presented in writing to Engineering staff for approval.
6. New Business
a) Motion by Krueger to authorize the purchase of an additional computer and related equipment
for SCADA computer for the Central Maintenance Facility. The Water Board will provide 50%
of the cost for the equipment. Seconded by Jensen. APIF, motion carried.
7. Approve Bills - Motion by Krueger, second by Jensen to approve bills and authorize payment in
the amount of$21,013.57. APIF, motion carried.
8.
The financial report was received and accepted.

9. Open Forum
a) Private wells in the City were discussed.
10. Meeting adjourned at 6:50 PM. Next meeting on Monday, August 26th at 6:00 PM.
