SPECIAL WATER BOARD MEETING
Monday, July 30, 2007
7:00 PM
Farmington City Hall, Conference Room A

1. Called to order at 7:00pm.
2. The agenda was approved.
3. Flagstaff Avenue Water Main, Northerly Loop - Engineer Mann gave a brief
presentation regarding the considerations for looping the water main along Flagstaff
Avenue(northerly), rather than just bringing it to the new high school site and dead
ending it at that location. The budgeted additional cost for the northerly loop is
estimated to be $970,000. The Water Board and School District representatives
discussed their respective funding issues related to the additional costs that the
completing the northerly water main loop would entail. The School District
representatives indicated that they would be able to recommend to the School Board
that the District participate in the cost of the northerly water main loop in the amount
of$350,000. Motion by Krueger, second by Jensen, that the Water Board pay the
balance of the costs for northerly water main loop contingent upon the contribution
of $350,000 towards the costs of the northerly loop by the School District. APIF,
motion carried.
4. Open Forum - Discussion regarding the possibility of a total watering ban and if
the fine should be different what the fine should be for violating a total ban.
Engineer Mann to consult with the City Attorney regarding this issue.
5. The meeting adjourned at 8:00pm
