Director of Public Works/City Engineer MINUTES REGULAR WATER BOARD MEETING Monday, November 26, 2007 7:00 PM Farmington City Hall, Conference Room A Jeff Krueger, Allan Maguire, Tom Jensen Lee Mann, Director of Public Works/City Engineer; Kevin Schorzman, Assistant City Engineer; Robin Roland, Finance Director; Lena Larson, Administrative Assistant Howard Glad representing the Charleswood Homeowners Association 1. Member Krueger called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. Members Krueger, Jensen and Maguire were present. 2. The agenda was approved as presented. 3. Motion by Jensen, second by Maguire to approve the minutes of October 22,2007. APIF, motion passed. 4. Continued Business a) Consider Water Rate Increase 2008 - Finance - Motion by Maguire, second by Krueger to accept the rate increase as outlined in Finance Director Roland's memo. APIF, motion passed. 5. New Business a) T-Mobile Request - Engineering - A request for approval to install new equipment on the area they currently lease at the water tower was received from T-Mobile. City Engineer Mann has reviewed the request with Public Works staff and there should not be any issues with their request. Motion by Krueger, second by Maguire to approve T-Mobile's request and forward it to the City Council for their approval. APIF, motion passed. 6. Approve Bills - Finance - Motion by Jensen, second by Maguire to approve the bills in the amount of $33,623.40. APIF, motion passed. 7. Financial Report - Finance - received quarterly 8. The December Water Board regular meeting was cancelled, the next meeting will be held January 28, 2008. 9. Open Forum ~ Well #8 Landscaping: Staffhas been working with the Charleswood Homeowners Association on a landscaping plan for Well #8. Pricing for a plan that is acceptable to all parties is being explored and should not be cost prohibitive. The Water Board approved the landscaping concept and looks forward to seeing the project move forward in the spring of2008. Staff will bring updated cost information to the Board at that time. Mr. Glad indicated that the homeowners association is pleased with the appearance of the well house.
